1. The full length of the gas spring (A) refers to the distance between the two installation center holes after the gas spring is fully extended.
2. The gas spring stroke (B) refers to the compressed distance from the fully extended length of the gas spring minus the fully compressed length.
If the full length is 300mm after full extension and 200mm after full compression, then its gas spring stroke is 300 – 200 = 100mm, which is the stroke of the gas spring.
3. When choosing the length of the gas spring, we must pay attention to the relationship between the total length and the stroke, and the following formula should be followed:
A(full length of gas spring)≥B(stroke of gas spring)*2+80mm.
Note: 80mm is the minimum length of the gas spring guide sleeve, piston, joint and other parts. Many customers choose the wrong model without paying attention to this formula in our selection book. Please pay attention when selecting the model.
4. The strength of the gas spring, in the design process, we must pay attention to the calculation formula of the strength of the company's selection book to calculate the strength of the gas spring.
5. For the selection of gas spring joints, please refer to Pingmei gas spring selection manual.
